Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah), Indonesia is one of academic institutions facilitates scientific development and technology transfer process.  It has Veterinary Medicine Faculty which is the only one in the Sumatra. Its ideal location in Aceh province, which has Gunung Leuser National Park, Saree Elephant Training Center and Conservation Response Units, makes Unsyiah one of the forefronts for Indonesian wildlife conservation. Not to mention that Gunung Leuser National Park is the only place in the world where four amazing endangered species namely Sumatran tiger, elephant, orang utan and rhino can be found in one location.

WWF Indonesia is a global conservation organization establishing its work since 1962, over 100 countries. Currently, WWF Indonesia has 28 regional offices in 17 provinces in Indonesia, with the collaboration and partnership with the local communities, non-governmental organizations, media, business sectors, and universities including Unsyiah. WWF Indonesia activities cover field work, scientific research, and advice for environmental policy, environmental education, strengthening communities and increasing public awareness of environmental issues. The main missions of WWF are conserving, restoring and equitably managing biodiversity in Indonesia, for its sustainability and welfare.
